This site is a great place to share your photographs of Veterans Day events with other veterans, their families, and the general public. Here’s how it’s done.
Go to Flickr
This is a photosharing site. Photos loaded onto Flickr can also be displayed on this site, if you want.
Create an account
You’ll need to ‘Create Account’. This only takes a moment and the onscreen instructions will show you how.
Upload and tag your photo
Flickr will guide you through the simple process of uploading a photo and adding a tag (a keyword that describes the picture and which enables keyword-based classification and search). The tag is important!. It’s how we know which photos to pull from Flickr onto this site. Look at the event’s listing page to find out which tag to use. For example, for the Veterans’ Skills Displays event in Blackpool, the tag to use is upcoming:event=454080.
You’re done!
Your photo will be pulled from Flickr into this site. The photo can now be viewed here and on Flickr.
